Within the sub-program of the Home-based care program for children with severe and profound mental developmental delays, First Step implements a behavior management program in a natural setting by personal assistants, i.e. individual caregivers.
The program is intended for children and adolescents aged 7 to 18 with particularly severe and challenging behavior. Service hours are determined based on the results of the beneficiary's assessment, which will be confirmed by the state social worker. Individual caregivers are supervised by a psychologist/behavioral therapist.
The goal of the program is to manage, stabilize and resocialize the beneficiary's difficult behavior.
